The Power Electronics Society (PELS) is one of the fastest-growing technical societies of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). For over 35 years, the PELS has facilitated and guided the development and innovation in power electronics technology. This technology encompasses the effective use of electronic components, the application of circuit theory and design techniques, and the development of analytical tools for efficient conversion, control, and condition of electric power. The IEEE student branch of VJEC was inaugurated in the year 2009 with the aim of bringing the students more closer to the technological world and thereby helping them to be aware about the rapidly changing world of technology and to make themselves prepared and self-sufficient for the highly competitive world. In the later years the SB was able to maintain the momentum and visibility and has emerged as a leading professional chapter in the college. We were able to host many hub and Section level events which made our SB a highly active and eminent one in the Kerala section. The IEEE SB of VJEC still continues to be in that momentum even today with more than 230 dedicated and committed members
